VISUALIZE yourself 10 pounds thinner!

 

Watch Oprah, and you might hear a thing or two about the power of visualization.  Many bestsellers on her book club list such as The Secret, the Law of Attraction, The Power of Now etc. have been written about the incredible power that your thoughts can have over your life.  So many people wouldn't be subscribing to these ideas if they didn't work.  They have been used to attract money, success, love, and so much more.

 

Visualization works for your body too!

 

 

Many of the world top personal trainers use visualization as a powerful transformation technique with their clients. 

The first step is to see yourself how you want to be, and to believe it.  If you are constantly saying to yourself  negative statements such as  "I'll never be able to lose this weight" then that is exactly what you are telling your brain and your body to do while also destroying your self confidence.  Instead, focus your thoughts on the Super you, who is healthy and fit.  

 

Having a negative self-image is a poor habit that needs to be immediately broken.  Next time you find that you are putting yourself down with your mind, try to take the focus away from that negative thought, and replace it in your mind with a picture of the new trimmer you.  

 

 

Goals, of course, should stay within reason.  Many of us have very unhealthy concepts of fitness and beauty and we have to be careful what we wish for.  Visualizing a Kate Moss body is not realistic (or healthy) for most women.  Focus on being healthy and fit, not necessarily just on being skinny. 

 

 

Cut out a picture of a flat belly or some killer buns from a magazine and tape it to your refrigerator.  Maybe even cut out a picture of your face and tape it on to a model's body for fun.  Think about what life will be like once you have achieved your ideal goal, and keep that visual picture in your mind.  Walk around like you've already lost the weight.  You and your thoughts are the only thing stopping you from getting there. 

 

Most importantly:   Believe in yourself!
